As Knights of the Paraclete, we are to “share” what has been gifted to us so that we do not lose it and so that the Treasure may grow which is blessed as “works of mercy” as we build-up of the kingdom of God.
Novenas have an extremely rich history in our catholic church and growing to this very day, This Novena is the “only…officially prescribed by the Church” and one that many do not know about, let alone not all parishes are aware of this is an “Annual Novena Decreed.”
Basically, all we can say, the Novena to the Holy Spirit will change your life.
The duty of the Knights of the Paraclete is working to create an active creative involvement in continuing to promote the works inspired by the Encyclical of Pope Leo XIII on the Holy Spirit. A work that originates with our Lord’s direction before his Most Holy Accession which places us directly in action with the salvation of souls.
We earnestly desire that … piety may increase and be inflamed towards the Holy Ghost, to Whom especially all of us owe the graces of following the paths of truth and virtue.
All preachers and those having care of souls should remember that it is their duty to instruct their people more diligently and more fully about the Holy Ghost… What should be chiefly dwelt upon and clearly explained is the multitude and greatness of the benefits which have been bestowed, and are constantly bestowed upon us, by this Divine Giver.
We decree and command that throughout the Catholic Church this year, and every subsequent year, a Novena shall take place before Whit-Sunday in all parish churches.
